A formative-assistance workshop opened Friday, January 23rd, at 3:30 p.m. – on the specific diseases of sub-Saharan Africa at Hotel Progresso in San Benedetto del Tronto, that will continue through Sunday, January 25th. The goal is to train pediatricians and nurses who will be able to collaborate in projects geared towards pediatric care in favor of developing countries.   At the end of the project, a work group was established that joined The Italian Society of Pediatric Urgent Care and the Family Pediatricians for Children of the World ONLUS (Child WorldWide CCWW).

It is much appreciated the extraordinary availability of the public administration, the Touristic Consortium “Riviera delle Palme”, and of some private companies (Soledid SPA, Turval Laboratories, Alioscia Distributions ) that allowed many doctors and nurses, as well as distinguished speakers from all around Italy, to be reunited in this city of the Marches.

Special thanks to the coordinator of emergency national commission Dr. Antonio Masetti, San Benedetto del Tronto pediatrician Dr. Franca di Girolamo, who figured out the logistics of the workshop, Dr. Stefano del Torso, President of the Family Pediatricians for Children of the World Association -CCWW ONLUS- and also to the “Mamma Italia ONLUS” association, which financed the project with the funds gathered from the sales of the 2009 calendar “Grande tra i Grandi”, where the leading political figures are portrayed with children of various ethnicities.
