Trial#14: Good results in food supplement tests with Turval 6 Horse Daily (Kluyveromyces B0399).
As requested by you, we carried out tests by adding your Turval 6 supplement to the feed of a number of horses under our observation with different pathologies (eg: poor state of nutrition, colic, slight diarrhoea, a distended abdomen and dull coat)
1.Male, 7 years old, Sardinian anglo-arab breed, stallion category, owned by the Istituto Incremento Ippico della Sardegna, stabled at the Su Padru Stud in Ozieri. For a period of more than 2 years, the animal has been showing a generally poor state of nutrition and, in any case, poorer than the average for the breed animals kept in the same stables and fed with the same traditional diet (average quality mixed grass meadow hay, oats, vitamin and mineral supplements) and subjected to the same routine vaccination and anthelminthic treatments. The horse showed signs of poor utilisation of nutrients in the feed, difficulty in maintaining a good weight, a slight and constant condition of dehydration and a dull coat. The appearance of urticarial dermatitis was often noted. The faeces were often dark in colour and had an acrid smell. During the period October-November 1995, a daily dose of about 20 grams of Turval 6 was administered. There was an overall weight gain of about 30 kg, an appreciable improvement in state of nutrition and condition of the coat as well as in quality of the faeces.
2.Male, 12 years old, anglo-arab breed, stallion category, owned by the Istituto Incremento Ippico della Sardegna stabled at the Su Padru Stud in Ozieri. The horse's general condition had already started deteriorating in July. On returning from a period at stud at an establishment on the outskirts of the town, the horse had suffered a visible weight loss compared to its condition on leaving (March). Clinical and hematochemical tests revealed no particular organic problems or chronic diseases or disturbances of the organism. Since the second half of August, Turval 6 has been administered at the recommended doses. So far, only an improvement in condition of the coat has been noted. We hope to be able to supply further information at a later date.
3.Female, 7 years old, Sardinian anglo-arab breed, brood mare category, in paddock at a private stud. The animal has a case history of frequent attacks of colic of medium to great severity, occurring almost twice a month. For about 1 year, the mare has regularly been taking the product (initially Turval and subsequently Turval 6). No further attacks of colic have occurred since starting administration of the product.
4.Colt, male, 1 year old, Sardinian anglo-arab, in paddock at a private stud. For months, the animal had been suffering from slight diarrhoea, a distended abdomen and dull coat. According to the breeder, the diarrhoea persisted in spite of the administration of antibiotic and astringent substances by the treating Vet. In agreement with the Vet, it was decided to try an anthelminthic treatment and to supplement grazing with Turval 6 concentrate. The diarrhoea, probably caused by a parasitic infestation, stopped within a few days; at the same time, a rapid improvement was noted in general state of nutrition, condition of the coat and utilisation of nutrients. From the above, we can, based on conjecture, express a generally positive opinion of the product.
Yours faithfully,
